Alpina Shipping and
Trading Co. Ltd. (Alpina) is a brokering company concentrating on the
sale and purchase of ships, from new building contracting to second
hand and demolition.
The company was founded
in 1983 and is significantly established in the Turkish and worldwide
shipping markets.
In 1998 Alpina joined
forces with the Besiktas Group (www.besiktasgroup.com), a major
shipping and finance holding in Turkey. Besides other investments in
finance and tourism industries, Besiktas Group is also controlling
Besiktas Shipping (a well known tanker Owner and Operator) and
Besiktas Shipyard (a major shipyard for N/B and repairs).
Whilst Alpina benefits
from the synergies within the group we also maintain an independent
position and separate management which enable us to offer our
services to the whole shipping community as a totally independent and
competitive broker.
Thanks to its first class
reputation and a notable track record Alpina is today a well known
Turkish ship sale and purchase broker, a position which we endeavor
to improve everyday.
